This morning the Australian Federal Police continue to carry out a raid at Seven West Media’s Sydney offices.
After serving a search warrant, the AFP went on to reportedly look for evidence of the very lucrative deal the Corby family had reportedly signed on behalf of Schapelle for an interview with Seven’s Sunday Night.
While the raid was happening in Australia, Channel Seven journalist Mike Willesee hit back from Indonesia saying, “The first thing I want to say about the Australian Federal Police raid is that it will finally nail the lie of the two million dollar payment that’s been repeated and repeated in the Australian media.”

He continued to insist there is no deal, “We’ve positioned ourselves to be the first in line if there is an interview. There is no deal.”
“They will find no payment because there is no payment.”
It has been reported that twelve AFP officers arrived at the Pyrmont offices at 8.55am and raids have continued throughout the day, extending to the magazine arm of Seven West Media in Eveleigh where it is believed the office of New Idea editor Kim Wilson was raided in response to the rumoured partnership deal. It is said raids will continue for up to 24 hours.
An Australian Federal Police spokesman said: “The AFP can confirm it has executed a number of search warrants in Sydney in relation to an ongoing Proceeds of Crime Act matter. As this matter is ongoing it’s not appropriate for the AFP to comment further.”
