If you were envious of Kristen Stewart’s fair skin in Twilight Eclipse, don’t miss this expert how-to lesson from Hollywood based make-up artist Glenn Nutley. He also reveals how to wear the dark lips and nails trend without looking sick and pasty.
If you have pale skin, you can quite easily achieve Kristen’s look. But if you don’t have fair skin naturally, it’s very difficult to actually use a lighter base than your natural skin tone. I would suggest mixing into your liquid foundation Le Blanc de Chanel Illuminator, which will brighten it a shade, and then set it with a powder, which is completely translucent, like the Laura Mercier powder, to ensure that you don’t add any extra pigment.
Next, I would give the illusion of the base being lighter by in contrast darkening some of the other tones, use a deep berry almost black lip, dark eyeliner and black nails, and contour with matt grayish browns to not warm up the complexion and highlight with whites across the T-section and on top of the cheek bones to create depth.
Follow these simple steps and you’ll have perfect porcelain skin like the impeccable Kristen Stewart in no time.
