We’ve known of the romance between Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas for some time now, but the relationship has finally been made official. In a bold move for the young couple, Harry and Cressida made two very public outings in three days after months of avoiding being pictured together. It seems that the young couple mean business.
Cressida joined Harry at a public occasion for the first time on Friday, and on Sunday they appeared at a Six Nations rugby union match at Twickenham.
As public appearances by the royals are always carefully choreographed, this weekend’s events suggest that their relationship has now received the stamp of approval from the palace.
We can’t help but wonder if an engagement could be imminent? It seems unlikely that the palace would invest energy into the relationship if the couple weren’t for keeps.
Everything you need to know about Cressida Bonas
Prince Harry recently quit flying army helicopters to take a desk job organising commemorative military events in London. This choice has created speculation that Harry may be ready to settle down.
Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas were first linked by the media in July 2012, although the couple consistently avoided arriving or departing from events together.
The Daily Mail has reported that Harry is planning to invite Cressida to spend the summer on holidays with his family. The Queen, Harry’s grandmother, takes her annual holiday at her Balmoral estate in Scotland, and to be invited there would be the ultimate stamp of approval for Cressida Bonas.
Cressida Bonas comes from a rather bohemian family, but has appropriately aristocratic roots. Her mother is Lady Mary-Gaye Curzon, a darling of the London social scene during the Sixties and daughter of an earl. We think the stunning 24 year old dance graduate would be the perfect match for a young prince.
