Psychic Bella Gill has got the expert advice for all those busy, busy super-doers out there on why it’s OK to relax and take a breath!

I’ve always been a doer. Well, I say that a little tongue in cheek because I’m also good at putting off things that scare me, or that are out of my comfort zone at times, but in general if there are things I can be ” doing”, I’m there.
This week I went away to Melbourne for work, and whilst there came down with the flu, which meant I couldn’t see clients, and I had to rest. Something interesting happened, I felt afraid. I found this a bit fascinating, what exactly could I be scared of?? I’m in bed sick watching T.V, I’m pretty sure I’m not in any danger ! But never the less I felt anxious, really anxious, so I decided to sit with it, and see if I couldn’t get to the bottom of it….
Guess what I realized, I was afraid to stop, to be still! Here I was , telling my clients the importance of trusting in life to lead the way, but I hadnt been doing the same, well I had, but not all the time. I’d been challenging life to keep up with me by being a super doer and not giving anything time to land in my hands. So it got me to thinking about the way we are constantly striving for more, by doing.
Yes, it’s important to work towards your goals and yes, you have to “do” things in life, but at what point does it become counter productive? At what point are you feeling like your life has lost its joy and its all just going through the motions ? That’s the point where you have stopped trusting in life to deliver you the things you have been asking for, its where you have stopped being connected to the magic of being able to ” let go”.
Easier said than done right, yep, it is, but here is the silver lining, if you can get clear about what it is your really striving for, or what it is that is keeping you in a cycle of fear doing, you will break the code to what it is you truly want, and be prepared for the fact that it may be different to what you have been telling yourself, but also be prepared for the fact that you’ll be able to r.e.l.a.x.
So, I propose a test for you, especially for those of you “super doers” out there, this may be a really uncomfortable process but I guarantee you’ll learn something about yourself through it. The next time you find yourself getting anxious/ fearful/ busy/ edgy/ and then following that up with some kind of activity or action towards it, STOP. Sit still, see what it is your running from or with ask yourself what your afraid of. Then, allow yourself the time to just be with it, something amazing will happen, it will lose its power over you, and you will see clearly.
For me it was a fear that if I wasn’t ” doing” things, if I wasn’t filling up all my time with the things I thought I should be then my business could all just fall apart and stop being. That was quite a revelation for me because that isn’t what I truly believe, but that’s fear, it keeps you busy, running towards something. when we are in a space of trust we just know, its internal, its peaceful, its connected.
Its knowing that in every moment your being taken care of and guided. Its knowing that Spirit is more than aware of what you want, and in divine time its coming to you.
Blessings,
Bella.
