It’s less than a week until Katy Perry hits Australian shores and only a couple of days until her debut fragrance Purr hits Australian stores!
Mrs Russell Brand teamed up with Gigantic Parfums to create her signature scent; a soft bouquet of jasmine, freesia and rose supported by a mix of fresh citrus, peach nectar, apple and green bamboo. A base of vanilla orchid, white amber, sandalwood and musk balances this uber-feminine fragrance.
Of the fragrance, Katy said, “I’m absolutely thrilled to finally introduce me in a bottle. There is a wonderful world of fragrances out there, but like with my music, I believe there is room for me and my own unique twist on it. Purr is a natural extension of who I am as a woman—it’s a gorgeous blend of all my favourite scents that embodies my style, my tastes and my love of all things incredibly cute. It is an absolutely purrfect perfume that I hope leaves you meowing with delight!”
Our favourite part of this fragrance is the bottle design. It is completely kitsch, cute and utterly Katy! A purple cat with jewelled eyes, metallic accents and a tiny heart-shaped tag, this is no ordinary perfume bottle and we love it.
This fragrance is super playful and a whole lot of fun, just like the star herself. It will be available in Myer, David Jones, The Perfume Connection and selected independent stockists from 24th April 2011.
With Katy in town for her tour, she is going to be making an exclusive appearance at Bourke Street Mall to pose for photos with her fans at 12.50pm on April 30th. Melbourne residents should head to www.myer.com.au and pre-purchase a 100ml bottle of the fragrance to secure their spot at the exclusive VIP appearance. It is an event not to be missed!
In more big news for Australian Katy Perry fans, the singer is set to perform her hit single Firework at the Logies on May 1st! Earlier in the week organisers of the Melbourne Crown Casino event confirmed the news.
