Last Wednesday, Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig got married in a very private wedding in New York. Over the weekend, Kate Middleton and Prince William made an appearance in Windsor to present service medals to members of the Irish Guard who served in Afghanistan. Last week another amfAR Inspiration Gala was held, this time in Paris so check out who was honoured and what the stars wore.
Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig Wed
Daniel Craig, 43, must have learnt a thing or two playing James Bond because he and new wife Rachel Weisz, 41, managed to pull the wool over our eyes and get married last week!
The couple met and started dating last year while playing a married couple in the yet-to-be-released film Dream House and have since been steadily dating. We all knew things were serious when the pair spent Christmas together in the UK but no one had any idea they were engaged and their extremely private wedding has shocked us all.
Weisz only filed for divorce from her ex-husband of nine years Darren Aronofsky so we’re stunned to hear she’s already hitched again. The nuptials were held in New York with only four people present at the ceremony including Daniel’s 18-year-old daughter Ella and Rachel’s 5-year-old son Henry.
The Duchess of Cambridge honours Irish Guards
Kate Middleton looked the epitome of elegance in a navy blue coatdress, a simple fascinator and matching heels as she met with the families of three Irish guardsmen who were killed in Afghanistan. A royal aide told sources the Princess was pleased to be undertaking a role for a cause, “so close to her husband’s hear” and it seems this was accurate as she spent double the amount of time visiting the families that had originally be scheduled.
Later, Kate presented Afghanistan campaign medals to sixty men. More and more details are emerging about the Royal’s North American tour with details of Kate’s wardrobe announced recently. It has been said that the Duchess has employed the help of the personal shoppers at Selfridges and Harvey Nichols in the UK.
Kate was spotted leaving McQueen’s head office in London recently, sparking rumours that Sarah Burton will be designing a piece for the Princess’ American tour.
amfAR Inspiration Gala in Paris
The amfAR Inspiration Gala has now made its way to Paris where Fergie was awarded the Piaget Award of Inspiration for her support of AIDS research. The star wore two entirely different outfits on the night, one a hard-edged Louis Vuitton pant ensemble with her hair slicked back, and the second a demure polka dot dress by Marc Jacobs! Both looks were entirely black and showed off her eclectic sense of style.
The stars were out in full force including appearances from Diane Kruger in a stunning red floor length gown, Ed Westwick, Emily Browning, Marc Jacobs and many more.
Dita Von Teese was spotted cozing up to rumoured boyfriend French aristocrat Louis Marie de Castelbajec. The burlesque beauty looked as flawless as ever in a Herve L. LeRoux dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, Cartier ring and Erickson Beamon earrings.
