ORLY raised the bar at Rosemount Australian Fashion week with extremely detailed polka-dotted nail art for Karla Spetic.
Karla Spetic herself chose ORLY to do the nails for her Rosemount Australia Fashion Week show:
‘It wasn’t a hard choice to ask ORLY to come on board. They use the highest quality products and have such great creative ideas and capabilities, which suited this brief especially. The concept for my RAFW show is loosely based around the idea of a barren and intensely picturesque setting. Artistic, yet harsh. Creative, but simple. Polka dots have been added as I’ve always felt they had a fun, playful and quirky feel about them.’
How to recreate the look:
- File nails into a soft square shape, using ORLY Black Board file – use the end of the fingertip as a length guide. Then, buff the surface of the nail using ORLY Double-Time Shine buffer, using only the coarse side to remove ridges and shine from nail
- Treat cuticles with ORLY Cutique to gently soften and remove dead tissue from cuticle area. Push back cuticles gently with a cuticle stick.
- Cleanse the nail plate using a cotton pad moistened with ORLY Gentle Nail Polish Remover to remove any residual oil.
- Apply ORLY Bonder Base Coat, followed by two coats of your chosen ORLY nail polish. Allow to set for five minutes.
- Using the pointed end of an orange wood stick and ORLY French Manicure Collection in White Tip, gently create polka dots, in horizontal rows of four, then three and so on.
- Seal with ORLY Sec ‘n Dry top coat and apply ORLY Flash Dry drops for super fast drying time.
