Napoleon Perdis arrived at the Sydney Opera House at 5am today to do the make-up for Dion Lee, and managed as always to produce perfect results. Without further ado, Rescu. brings you Napoleon Perdis’ inspiration and tips on how to achieve the fresh faced complexion seen at Dion Lee.
The look for this show is fresh faced with hydrated bone structure. Dion wants the girls’ faces and bodies to have a natural and illuminated finish that has a Neo Roman element to it. The skin is the focus.
This look was inspired by Vermeer the Dutch painter. It’s very luminous and beautiful skin, done with a palette of beautiful luminizers’ such as my light patrol.
Other key elements to the look were my Mesmer-Eyes mascara, a little bit of lip lacquer in the middle, and white alabaster in the inside of the eye. I alsosometimes wish that everyone could see the way that my energising mask just makes sure that everything is just a bit more flawless.
It’s Vermeer, it’s Dutch, and it’s perfect light on the skin– that’s all.
I am so excited to be doing the make-up for Dion Lee. I just love the way Dion has a fresh take, I love the way he cuts and I love the way he interprets. I also love the way he keeps things simple. This is a simple look that will work for everyone. It’s perfect skin, it’s a bit of light. It’s perfect for the day or even for a candlelit evening.
