Napoleon Perdis worked hard at Karla Spetic to achieve a pale, ethereal look that appeared very natural and nude. Rescu. brings you exclusively backstage with the make-up master himself to discover how you can achieve this magnificent minimalist make-up.
For Karla’s show, we subscribed to a spare, minimalist approach. We built a neutral look that is both fragile and strong. The fragility comes from the pale skin tones. The strength from subtle touches like an espresso-brown mascara and icy white liner. When you do this look, you can just be very natural, very nothing and nude.
This show is really about fragile sensuality with a steely grace. It’s a matte face with a really tonal lip called Washington. We are using hardly any mascara, chocolate brown only and as always we’ve prepared the face with the serum, the primer and used the energising mask.
I love the way Karla does sillouettes and very feminine clothes for women; she has a really unique eye for it. I also love that she cuts well and she designs gorgeous pieces.
I just absolutely love fashion week. It’s great being back in Australia, it’s fantastic. It’s cleaner, it’s simpler, it’s really beautiful work. It’s all about the designwhich is beautiful and the models are just fresh, young and gorgeous!
