The make-up maestro Napoleon Perdis gives us his make-up secrets and tips for a Taj Mahal Princess inspired do; as seen at Dhini.
When I met with Dhini we really wanted to draw on the collection’s Indian royalty inspiration but modernise it with a futuristic edge so we recreated a crown template through the forehead with a luminous glow. We used the china doll eyeliner in alabaster and feathered that through from the eyes through the forehead and set that with a touch of loose dust #5 in Opal and LD #20 in Antique Rose for this gorgeous feminine futuristic look
You could call it Eastern empress meets extra-terrestrial princess—a meeting of two regal entities. Dhini’s ideas about this ruling woman are played out in the expanse of white pigment on the forehead, which is meant to represent a whimsical crown. It’s a little out there but I love it.
How to recreate the look:
1. For a base apply the Napoleon Complex skin Renewal Serum, followed by Auto Pilot pre-foundation Primer and our Boudoir Mist Spray Foundation
2. Highlight cheeks with Light Patrol Luminizer Palette
3. Apply Loose dust in Opal to the eyelid, then follow with Loose dust in White Sparkle all around the eye
