Aries children are stubborn, careless and impulsive by nature, so how do we deal? Take a look at the top tips on raising a handful…
From an early age, Aries believe they are the epi-centre of humankind. They are, by nature, stubborn, careless and impulsive, so it takes a lot of effort for them to realise that they form part of a whole, as opposed to being the heart of everyone’s world. On the other end of the scale, they are also highly intelligent, innovative, driven individuals and often go on to become successful entrepreneurs: so striking a balance can often be problematic task.
There is a common saying: “it takes a whole village to raise a child”. But, to raise an Aries (who has more energy than Denise the Menace with a can of Red Bull), it takes a whole army! These little tikes are the most energetic, ambitious and stubborn of the all the Star signs: so here are some tips to help you raise your Aries.
Enrol them in team sports
Investing in extra-curricular activities is a big investment into an Aries future. Throw your Little One into team sports to develop their ability to share and work together. Aries are natural ‘doers’, so once they learn how to work as a team they will thrive and push for glory. Be warned though, they want the winners podium, so encourage them to understand that participation is their main goal.
Sport helps to burn off some of their endless energy and teach them to see things through to the end. It is also a positive way of teaching them how to listen and respect others.
Expose them to a variety of foods
Aries can be fussy eaters so introducing new foods early in their childhood will enable them to be more accepting with their food choices later in life. Rafferty’s Garden has formulated a range of nutritionally balanced meals for 10 months + that cater to a fussy palette. The ‘Flavours of the World’ range assists with developing acceptance of a wide range of flavours: perfect for fussy Little Aries.
Teach them to channel their angst
A common trait of an Aries is an explosive temper, caused by suppressing their anger; just like their birthstone, diamond, which is formed under extreme pressure. They might not have the best attention spans, but getting an Aries into the habit of channelling their stress into yoga, breathing exercises or meditation will enable them to learn to deal with stressors less violently, and be more productive in their careers.
Parenting in this day and age is hard. As our parents like to remind us: “things aren’t what they used to be” and bringing up a hot-headed, impulsive nugget is not the easiest of roles. So, remember, love is the best ingredient for a well-lived life. No matter how much you stuff up the recipe, throwing in a pinch of love makes it all better.
