A more undone, natural look strode down the runaway at Kookai’s RSFF show on Thursday.
Redken hair director Tracey Hughes described the look as “very romantic and feminine and slightly undone” going on to say she aimed to created, “Really soft, pretty, relaxed curls that looked like they were the models’ own”.
She used a centre part so the loose curls framed the girls’ faces. Volume enhancers were used in the back-lengths to create a wool-like fullness.
How to recreate the look:
1. Double-mousse the hair from roots to ends using Redken Touch Control 05 for volume, texture and to help the style last.
2. Using medium sized curling tongs, holding the tongs vertically, wrap large sections of hair around the wand.
Let the curl fall and hang to cool. Spray lightly with Redken Workforce 09. Repeat this process for the entire head of hair.
3. Then, use a soft bristle brush to very gently break up the curls. Flip hair over and do the same from underneath for extra volume.
4. Whilst the hair is still flipped over, spray in Redken Style Connection Wool Shake 08 and and shake the hair about using your hands.
This will give the look its unique texture and an incredible fullness. You may also apply a little more Redken Style Connection Wool Shake 08 to the top lengths as well.
5. Use your hands to shake and ruffle the hair to create tousled, unkempt waves. Then finish with Redken Workforce 09 for a flexible hold. All Redken products available in selected Salons.
