Sydney is full of great local cafes but since the Westfield Mall was built, Bondi Junction has not had any notable cool cafes to hang out in. It was a great relief to find great coffee and delicious food tucked away in Waverly Street. Rescu. recommends new Bondi café Savta (which means Grand Mother in Hebrew).
This great little find is an oasis to escape to from Christmas shopping madness and prams that cause traffic jams in the mall.
The food is healthy and delicious, with an Israeli twist. The owners Roi and Louis are both good looking, naughty, and make a killer espresso.
Savta is a warm welcome back to neighbourhood hole in the walls and village living. What’s not to love.
