Louis Vuitton annual party brings the stars to Rodeo Drive
Louis Vuitton held their annual party with Vanity Fair this week on the rooftop of their boutique on Rodeo Drive. Each year the party benefits a particular charity and the charity of choice for 2010 was Oceana. Who was the stunning host of the night? None other than January Jones, with the actress stating of her fairly cruisey role “I get reserved seating and I get to borrow an amazing outfit. It’s a no-brainer.” Other celebrity guests included Lorraine Nicholson, Christina Ricci and Autumn Reeser.
Crystal Renn secures new campaign with Jean Paul Gaultier
Last week, we discussed the hottest topic on the model circuit- the great model weight debate. As designers are being urged to not hire underweight models, it’s great to see plus size model Crystal Renn score the latest campaign from high end designer Jean Paul Gaultier. Alongside Crystal is Chinese model Ping Hue and French model Kelly Moirera.
Zara are heading to Australia!
We couldn’t be happier to hear the news that Zara will be opening shop in Australia in 2011. Parent company of Zara, Indetix, is planning to open stores in Spain and South Africa next year and it seems they have given Zara the needed push to branch out to our shores. The rumour currently is that Westfield Group will be the first to open Zara stores. Although current stores will need to prepare themselves for the competition, we can’t wait for Zara to be available in Australia.
Bettina Liano and Essie join fashion forces
Glamour label Bettina Liano and beauty label Essie are joining forces together with the launch of Essie nail polishes in Bettina Liano stores. A select 6 shades will be available at Bettina Liano stores so you can mix and match your shade to your latest fashion purchase. Essie Marketing Manager Gavin Caganoff explains “this is a natural partnership”, and we couldn’t agree more!
