Haute couture week is not only about the beautiful clothes, it’s about celebrity spotting! So, as autumn haute couture week has wrapped up, we pay homage to the hottest ladies and front row A-listers who attended.
Chanel took the award in creating an IT girl list of guests. There was a definite battle between Gossip Girl stars Blake Lively and Leighton Meester, who were both clad head to toe in Chanel. Whilst Blake had the opportunity to sit next to Anna Wintour, Leighton sat by the beautiful Clemence Posey. Other popular fresh faces included Natalia Vodianova, Milla Jovovich and Jessica Alba.
At the Christian Dior show the front row was filled with more fresh faces, including Jared Leto, Lily Cole and Lou Doillin.
The Valentino show brought a beautiful crowd of strong women to the front row, including Elizabeth Hurley who wore a violet summer dress, and Claire Danes who stood out in a vibrant red dress. Jessica Alba and Natalia Vodianova chose delicate dresses embroidered with flowers
Rescu. will be bringing you all the highlights of Autumn Haute Couture week on Monday, so check in for your fashion fix!
The great model weight debate- voluntary code of conduct introduced
There has been great debate over the past few weeks concerning the representation of models and celebrities in the media. The government has introduced a new voluntary code of conduct to help promote better body image across the media and magazines
Federal Youth Minister, Kate Ellis, is a key leader behind this new change. The aim of the code of conduct is to encourage the media to disclose any use of image alteration, whilst also aiming to avoid digital image enhancement. In addition, designers are being asked to not hire severely underweight models or excessively muscular male models.
Girlfriend and Women’s Weekly magazines have already joined the voluntary code of conduct.
Latest fashion trend- older models hit the runway
Who would have guessed the modelling industry would look to the super models of the past for their shows? Earlier this year, we saw none other than Elle McPherson grace the runway for Louis Vuitton after 20 years of absence! Other glamorous models returning to the world of fashion include Kirsty Hume, who modelled this year for Calvin Klein, and designer Joanne Sykes used the gracious Daphne Selfe, now 81, in her A/W 2010 presentation.
Best selling memoir Eat, Pray, Love, inspires the fragrance industry
Eat, Pray, Love was a best selling memoir by author Elizabeth Gilbert, and now the book is influencing the fragrance industry in a sweet smelling twist of fate.
With the upcoming launch of the Eat, Pray, Love movie, Fresh Inc are releasing a fragrance collection by the same name to celebrate the success of this widely received memoir!
Not familiar with Fresh Inc? Fresh is a partner of luxury house LVMH, and are based in the US.
