Providing a proverbial tasting plate of designer talent, Review Show 7 moved from colour to class as it showcased a collection of designers including Camilla, White Sands, Annah Stretton, Kooey, Ae’lkemi, Nookie, and Sabatini White.
Straight from her Babylon collection, shown earlier that evening, Camilla showed that her colourful creations could mix with others. Her psychedelic kaftans over colourful leopard print tights proved to be a powerful combination and remained equally striking within this new context.
Needing to cool down, swimwear was at the ready. White Sands beachwear continued the collage of colour, paired with a short flowing blue print dress, showing that style and surf are a promising juxtaposition. And not long after came their trademark feminine bikinis.
West Australian designer Kooey was also in on the swimwear action with an incredible green one piece, giving any bikini a run for its money, including their own deep purple bikini with a green trim.
From the surf to the street, Nookie impressed with some fabulously floral tights and wraps. Gorgeous gowns were also a feature. Ae’lkemi produced a stunning strapless tiered design with deep colours reminiscent of a peacock, and Sabatini White used blacks, whites and all shades of grey to create a striped sensation.
Annah Stretton shared part of her Chameleon collection, which used reds to make rich, bold and sexy designs. A tiered mini dress with a bright red bow and flowers over a black skirt appeared inspired by Alice In Wonderland and was flirtatiously flamboyant.
All in all it was a satisfying end to a day of colour and creativity on the runway.
