Another week, another Vogue scandal.
This week, it’s the cover of British Vogue – and it’s the cover girl that’s getting some nasty attention.
So what’s causing all the fuss? Rihanna, the Barbadian songstress, appears to be several shades lighter than her natural colour.
This is, unfortunately, not uncommon – earlier this year Beyonce was revealed to have been photoshopped to be virtually unrecognisable for a hair product campaign.
The cover makes Rihanna look as if she merely has a nice tan, rather than her actual Barbados skin. The blonde wig, admittedly, does not help matters.
Campaigners for women of colour are furious, and British Vogue may have some explaining to do.

Milla Jovovish’s Veneer Disaster

Supermodel Milla Jovovich, who’s now been a L’Oreal spokesmodel for a decade, spoke out recently about a cosmetic procedure that went badly wrong.
Jovovich, who films lucrative action movies alongside her modelling career, chipped a tooth during a stunt and asked a dentist to give her veneers.
The result? Catastrophe.
“It didn’t even look like me. I couldn’t believe I let them take away my smile,” Jovovich said during an interview. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”
Luckily, the million-dollar woman – who was once acclaimed as having the world’s most beautiful face – found a dentist who could fix the damage and recreate her old smile.
“I learned my lesson,” Jovovich said.

Peter Alexander’s New Inspiration: Disney

Ever wanted to look a little more sugary-sweet in the bedroom?
Look no further than Peter Alexander’s newest line, designed in collaboration with – you’ve got it – Disney.
The famous mouse ears have inspired an entire set of sleepwear, from camisoles to boxer shorts.
Sexy? Perhaps not – unless you have some very odd childhood fantasies. But as a harmless Christmas gift, it’s pretty cute.
Fashionistas are already snapping up the Seven Dwarves oversized tees and wearing them out-of-doors, so get on that trend while it’s hot.

The Great Fashion Leveller: Seat Collapse

Ever wanted to be on the same level as Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington, Salma Hayek and Catherine Deneuve?
You should have been at the Balenciaga show at this Paris Fashion Week.
The rows of seats in the venue all collapsed, some causing minor injury, and all of fashion’s brightest lights – many in uncomfortable heels – were forced to stand throughout the runway show.
This meant that the designs were virtually invisible beyond the second row, since the front row is obviously not organised by height.
In all the grumbling about the lack of seating, it’s been difficult to find any mention of the clothes.
