Rihanna has admitted she would like to play legendary singer, Whitney Houston in a film about her life and the gorgeous Jennifer Lawrence, star of The Hunger Games has recently laughed off ‘chubby’ jibes from film critics.
Rihanna has recently revealed she’d be thrilled to portray late singer, Whitney Houston.
“My first song that I remember falling in love with was a Whitney Houston song, ‘I Will Always Love You.’ It was really inspiring, and it made me develop a passion for music, so really, she’s partly responsible for me being here in this industry.” The ‘We found Love’ singer said.
“That would be something that I would have to give my entire life to do, because I would really want to pull it off. That’s a huge, huge role, and whoever does it has to do a good job.”
It seems her views have changed on singing and acting, as a few years ago Rihanna had to fend of rumours of being the star of ‘The Bodyguard’ remake. A few years back, it was rumored that the pop superstar wass the top choice to fill the lead role in a remake of The Bodyguard. The singer dispelled the rumours in a 2011 interview with OK!magazine, explaning, “I hate it when singers do singing movies all the time because you can never look at them as anybody else. I want to play a character.”
Rihanna has recently played a ‘character’ in the newly released ‘Battleship’.
Other songstresses up for the role of Whitney include Jordin Sparks and Jennifer Hudson.

Jennifer Lawrence has laughed off suggestions that she looks “chubby” in ‘The Hunger Games’.
The 21-year-old actress – who portrays heroine Katniss Everdeen in the movie – thinks it’s “hilarious” that people are suggesting she is too chunky to play the character, as she thinks it promotes an unhealthy lifestyle to young girls.
A source close to the star told the Chicago Sun Times newspaper, “Jennifer told me, ‘This is hilarious. First, people say how so many actresses in Hollywood look anorexic, and now they are criticizing me for looking normal. Thin body images are too often adopted by young girls and women thanks to what they are constantly being shown as being attractive.”
Comments from film critic Todd McCarthy in which he referred to the ‘Winter’s Bone’ star as possessing “lingering baby fat” and Jeffrey Wells calling her a “big-boned lady” unleashed a torrent of furious responses from ‘Hunger Games’ fans. However, Jennifer has previously admitted she is not like other women and even missed out on a modeling job once after she took part in a game of football for a group shoot for Abercrombie & Fitch and took it so seriously that her face wasn’t included in the final adverts.
She recently explained, ” All the other girls are looking cute, modeling while playing football, and my face is bright red, my nostrils are flared, and I’m mid-leap, about to tackle this girl. “I’m not even looking at the camera. The other girls were like, ‘Get her away from me’.”
