RESCU‘s wrap of the Roopa Pemmaraju show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2013;
Held at The Box at Carriageworks, the Roopa Pemmaraju show was a refreshingly restrained affair; attendees were seated in blocks so that the models could meander through the maze-like structure. And they were clothes were perfect to meander in. Prints reminiscent of Aboriginal dot painting and intricate Indian patterns formed the core of the collection. Muted earthy tones were interspersed with delicate pastels and the light cotton garments draped and flowed. The front row was a mix of fashion editors and bloggers, with street style as prevalent as skyscraper heels.
RESCU loved the cute neon Balinese chokers with delicate beading and bright pom poms that complemented the collection.
