The Hot in the City show at RSFF showcased the designs lingerie experts such as Antz Pantz, Berlei and Jockey so we were expecting a playful, flirty look.
Maria Ardino, the Redken hair director for the show, did not disappoint, choosing long, shiny curls for the show.
“The hair typifies every long-haired girl’s dream look”, Maria accurately said backstage. “The curls are super glam and sexy, unraveling beautifully down the back and perfect for a lingerie show.”
The curly locks were flirty, full of bounce and movement, with a natural sheen. The front lengths flicked out playfully, shaping the face and tumbling over theshoulders.
How to recreate this look:
1. Apply Redken Touch Control 05 to the roots, lengths and ends of towel dried hair.
Part the hair in the centre or to the side and blow dry in.
2. Using medium sized curling tongs, wrap the hair on a diagonal beginning at the front and gradually working your way to the back.
Leave the ends out of the tongs to keep them straight and only curl to eye level for the top lengths.
3. Pin each curl to the scalp and leave to cool. Once cool, remove pins and flip the hair over and use your hands to gently relax the curls.
4. Spray hair with Redken Wax Blast 10 and style with fingers.
Scrunch and shake through the lengths to enhance texture and volume for a relaxed, matte finish.
