Models at the Bonds shows strutted their way down the catwalk with glossy, smooth, frizz-free locks.
Backstage, Redken Hair Director Todd Arndt told us “This look is all about the ultimate blow dry and keeping the lengths perfectly smooth and straight whilst enhancing the natural movement of the hair – just like satin. We wanted the hair to float freely and avoid weighting the hair down with too much product.”.
How to recreate the look:
1. Part clean, towel dried hair to the side or in the centre and apply Redken Satinwear 02 through the lengths and ends. This will give the hair a supremely silky, straight finish with a light hold to your blow dry.
2. Divide hair into sections and gradually blow dry each section smooth using a large radial brush. Direction the heat all the way to the ends for a beautiful straight finish, making sure there isn’t any volume and roots.
3. To finish, on dry hair, lightly spray hair with Redken Vinyl Glam 02 for extra shine and to tame any flyaway strands.
Expert Tip: Two looks in one. If you want to opt out of straight and smooth, try spraying your finished style with water and then distribute a small amount of Redken Vinyl Twist 12 through the lengths with your hands, using a scrunching technique to encourage a natural wave. Then allow hair to dry naturally.
