Get your frocks dry cleaned and your heels ready to rumble ladies, the Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival has well and truly kicked off. Rescu. attended the RSFF Review Show 1, and we were definitely impressed. With a line up including Camilla & Marc, Bianca Spender, Zambesi and more, how couldn’t we be!
Bianca Spender brought absolute elegance to the runway last night, as her show stopping golden gown draped perfectly in a Grecian goddess inspired look. The Bianca Spender collection overall showed sophisticated chic to the intrigued audience, with beautiful drapping worked into contemporary designs. We can’t get enough of her simple yet effective palette of nudes, dusted rose and silver.
Kate Sylvester brought her famous relaxed aesthetic to the runway, with a mix of soft tan leather, lace and loafers. Sheer pink featured in a soft ruffled dress and we are predicting that sheers and nudes will be huge this coming spring.
Manning Cartell put on a fierce and vibrant show, with colourful rainbow tube dresses, metallic silver blazers and sheer black lace blouses featuring prominently. Whilst the majority of the Manning Cartell collection seemed to be inspired by the party girl at heart, there were touches of feminine elegance through floor length cream maxi dresses, pencil skirts and soft lace blouses.
Anna & Boy brought out a new look for the swimwear based label, with loose floating floral dresses, teamed with panelled one pieces. Bikini prints matched printed loose throw overs, that have us wishing summer was already here!
Whilst Fernando Frisoni brought fire engine red to the runway with fringed mini dresses and body con party pieces, Zambesi worked a relaxed fit into sheer dresses and tops (which saw the guys work the runway). The Zambesi collection was infused with rock and musical influences, working a modern day grunge aesthetic into a nearly all black palette of sheers and shredded detail, topped off with an unexpected white lace.
Gary Bigeni took his signature relaxed slim fit to the runway with a mix of easy to wear nudes, creams and burnt rose. Michael Lo Sordo wowed the audience with covetable collection of floating pleated whites, seen in floor length maxi’s, sheer blouses, and must-have range of mini dresses in his new look marble and floral prints.
Camilla & Marc produced a show stopping collection of floating prints worked with body con pieces (we love the multi colour stripe Capri pant and matching top). Again, signature colours for spring were shown including nudes, dusted pinks and a touch of gold, against military olive green.
Little Joe Woman focused on a relaxed yet feminine look, working white lace with sheer sky blues, and heavy accessories and embellishment. Ginger & Smart produced a spring loving collection with flirtatious billowing skirts and bold butterfly print tops. Soft sky blues dominated sheer floating dresses and waists were cinched in perfect body con dresses that will take you from the office to after work drinks.
