RSFF wrapped up on Saturday with one of the highlights of the week the RAFW Review show 9. The designers on show included a host of Aussie talent, from emerging to well know.
The designers on show for this round of fashion included Dion Lee, Ellery, Friedrich Gray, Gail Sorronda, Konstantina Mittas, Lui Hon, Romance Was Born, Saint Augustine Academy, Seventh Wonderland, Stolen Girlfriends Club and Therese Rawsthorne
Now well know around the world for their kooky and art inspired designs, Romance Was Born brought a high entertainment factor to the show. Shredded denim high waisted shorts and a matching denim, buttoned top were emblazoned with metal studs, whilst a purple patterned bustier top was teamed with black tiered skirt. Attention to detail was key for this collection, with heavy embroidery, patterned fabrics and lace working together.
Stolen Girlfriends Club are a label steadily on the rise, with their youth soaked designs. Skin tight white leather pants were panelled with burnt orange panels. The label injected some soft femme detail into the collection with soft white dresses, detailed with sheer pleated shoulders.
Konstantina Mittas is the queen of artistic designs, and she produced a show stopping show at RSFF. Beautiful sky blue was the stand out of the collection, infused into body con dresses and pants, and detailed with soft floating feathers. A sheer black tee caused a stir worn over a bustier cup bra and tucked into a ultra femme printed skirt, with a billowing draped hemline.
A crowd favourite was definitely Gail Sorronda, who worked her signature black style into beautiful creative designs. Models were adorned with stunningly intricate beaded head pieces that added depth and imagination to each outfit. Again sheer black was a favourite, heavily embellished with black threaded detail worked into a skin tight body con dress. A show stopping gold dress impressed the audience, through the fine attention to draping and layering around the shoulders in an easy to wear length and cut.
