When we think of Bonds, bright colours and cute beauty are instantly brought to mind. This year showed a refreshing move away from that in the beauty department with a more grown-up look.
Bonds wanted to give the show an edge this year and we wanted to keep it more of a focus on the eyes, creating a depth around the eyes.
This look is fun but a little more grown up with the smoky eye. We still kept the skin fresh and glossy and dewy with a little highlights on the cheeks. Even the nails were a little tougher with the black but they were really glossy which kept it fresh.
How to recreate the look:
Smoky eyes are notoriously difficult to execute successfully but with the right products they create a beautiful depth in the eye and a sultry look.
We used Colour disc #33 in Taupe, China Doll eyeliner in Equinox, Loose Dut in Gold Beige and then finished off the look with Mesmerise Mascara.
The eyes were rimmed with the liner and defined. We blended it around the top lash line to get that smudgy look before we contoured.
The taupe was blended out to take the starkness away from the black and keep the look softly defined.
We added a bit more freshness on the eyes by blending the loose dust around the eye to make it more wearable.
