Australian DJ, media personality, and all around style icon Ruby Rose has announced that she is engaged to girlfriend Phoebe Dahl. The star gleefully shared the news via Instagram.
Ruby Rose uploaded an Instagram photo of two ‘I Do’ canvases with the caption, ‘After asking her to be mine 3 times always to be rejected I swore I’d never ask again… then this morning at 6am she broke into my house with flowers, coffee and a question… I said… go f*** yourself… just kidding I said…’
Phoebe Dahl is the CEO of Faircloth clothing, which donates two school uniforms to girls in Nepal for every dress that they sell. She is also notable for being the cousin of former model Sophie Dahl, and the granddaughter of children’s author Roald Dahl and actress Patricia Neal.
Ruby Rose also controversial posted a picture of a vial of Phoebe’s blood, saying that she planned to have it made into a necklace. Angelina Jolie famously wore a vial of Billy Bob Thornton’s blood around her neck during their marriage, perhaps Ruby Rose drew inspiration from the passionate actress.
This is Ruby Rose’s second engagement, she was previously engaged to Catherine McNeil, but the couple broke up in 2010. If Ruby Rose and Phoebe Dahl’s social media posts are anything to go by, the pair will make for a very happily married couple.
