Milan Fashion Week isn’t known for it’s star-studded front row but this year Scarlett Johannson made a head-turning appearance and Lindsay Lohan shocked us all with an appearance and a new ambassador deal!
In New York, a bevy of stars stepped out to support the premiere of Five, a collection of five short films about breast cancer. Read on to find out which famous faces directed.
Finally, rumours are flying that the Duchess of Cambridge is being scouted by none other than Anna Wintour for the cover spot of Vogue US.
Scarlett Johansson and Lindsay Lohan Front Row
Scarlett Johansson was spotted front row at the Dolce & Gabbana show in Milan. The 26-year-old has held the role of spokeswoman for the brands cosmetics line since 2009 and appears in recent advertisements for the Autumn/Winter Sweet Temptations line so it was only fitting she be seated front and centre to support the brand.
As we’ve come to expect, the star looked every bit a sophisticated, old-Hollywood glamour in a perfectly fitted nude lace dress and gold heels.
Surprising us all, Lindsay Lohan was spotted front row in Milan for German designer Philipp Plein’s show and, even more surprising, she looked put together and even glamorous!
The 25-year-old is the new face of the brand so it was only fitting she be seated front row. Lohan wore a grey, one-shoulder dress by Plein with her long, platinum blonde locks swept into a plait over one shoulder. The designer introduced troubled star Lohan as his muse at a conference where he said, “Lindsay is a beautiful, highly acclaimed actress and model.”
Maybe this is the start of a new era for the young starlet! We can only hope.
Five Premiere
Jennifer Aniston is just one Hollywood heavyweight to play her hand at directing for the new Lifetime movie ‘Five. The film is a collection of five short films about breast cancer, each highlighting how friends and families of sufferers deals with the disease.
Aniston said of the project, “our hope with Project Five is to entertain, inform and inspire dialogue, research and prevention. Otherwise our goals are small. We want these films to move people and empower those affected by breast cancer to stand tall through this challenge which impacts ALL of our lives, no matter who we are.”
This was Aniston’s first time acting as director on a film and she described the experience as “a challenge.” Actress Demi Moore, filmmaker Patty Jenkins and songstress Alicia Keys also contributed to the project and appeared on the red carpet at the premiere earlier this week.
Kate Middleton in Vogue
We all knew Kate Middleton became a style icon and a royal ‘It’ girl the second she walked down that aisle but it appears things have stepped up a notch with infamous Vogue US editor Anna Wintour reportedly knocking on the princess’ door hoping she’ll agree to cover the magazine! Photographer Mario Testino, who snapped Kate and William’s engagement pictures, is said to be in talks with Wintour who is pressing him to shoot Kate for the cover. Only time will tell if Wintour gets her way.
