Scarlett Johansson has officially joined the ranks of Hollywood’s elite as she was honoured with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week.
Scarlett Johansson has received the 2740th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Avengers star was surprised to learn that her name would be placed on the famed Hollywood Boulevard.
“Never ever in my 20 years in this industry would I ever, ever have thought my receiving this star would be even a remote possibility,” she said. “Never a day goes by when I do not feel like the luckiest person in the world!”
The actress began her acting career at 12, starring opposite Robert Redford in The Horse Whisperer.
Avengers co-star Jeremy Renner was on hand to watch the 27-year-old bombshell accept the honor for which she said she was very grateful and humbled.
Johansson’s breakout role came in the 2001 cult classic Ghost World, but it was 2003’s Lost in Translation that made her a critical darling. Now, with more than 30 films under her belt, Johansson joins elite company with her Walk of Fame star.
