The queen of sultry is pregnant – and we’ve been dying to get the details. Scarlett Johansson is reportedly about five months pregnant and has previously stated that she would love to have a family, so we’re guessing that she’s pretty thrilled.
Scar-Jo’s baby daddy is fiancé Romain Dauriac (31), a French journalist and manager of a creative agency. The pair have been engaged since September 2013, having been dating since November 2012. The couple have managed to fly under the radar throughout their time together, but we know that Romain proposed to Scarlett Johansson with a stunning vintage art deco ring.
“I didn’t think I was a jealous person until I started dating my current, my one-and-only,” Scarlett Johansson said about Dauriac in an interview with Esquire. “I think maybe in the past I didn’t have the same kind of investment. Not that I liked my partner less, I just wasn’t capable of it or caring that much.”
The 29-year-old beauty was spotted for the first time since her pregnancy was announced on Monday, taking a scooter ride in Paris with Romain Dauriac. The pair rode to the République’s central plaza and then Scarlett went off to do some solo shopping. Scarlett Johansson artfully concealed her baby bump with a large black jacket, adding a newsboy cap and shades, looking both comfy and chic.
Scarlett Johansson announced her pregnancy the day after the Oscars (so that’s why she wasn’t there!) and the fashion world is agog. So what should she wear to premieres if she decides to make the bump public? We’re guessing Dolce & Gabanna, for whom she’s a face. Their black lace peplum gown would work well to skim the bump on the red carpet, but considering she’s already five months along, perhaps the 1960s-style silk mikado duster coat (pictured) would work a little better.
And for pregnancy lingerie, Dolce & Gabbana’s stretch silk and satin might work well to accommodate a growing bump and body.
Of course, if she’s feeling sparkly, a Gucci sparkly trench coat might do wonders.
If she has a moment of insecurity, the Victoria Beckham cloud of dropped-waist dress might hide her from paparazzi views – but Scarlett seems the slinky sexy type of pregnant lady, so an Alexander McQueen ‘Leaf’ flared-hem jacket would probably be more her style.
And then, of course, there’s shoes. If she chooses to make like Kerry Washington at the Oscars and brave a heel, we hope it’s a thick one, like those on Valentino‘s patent leather pumps.
But, being a rock chick, she’ll probably tend more towards the studded suede loafers of Jimmy Choo (pictured) and Givenchy‘s dark-floral ballet slippers.
And for a diaper bag, who can do better than a giant Mulberry tote (pictured)? Blue or pink, we’re waiting to see.
Plus no Dolce & Gabanna girl can be without her D&G Baby set, with bottle, pacifier and bib (pictured) – this is going to be one fashionable tot.
