Lorna opted for a refined three tiered bun to complement the style’s soft, natural texture. The result was a killer top knot that was relaxed, understated and beautiful.
How to recreate the look:
1. Apply Redken Touch Control 05 to towel-dried hair for grip and to enhance the organic texture of the hair.
2. Then blow dry the hair smooth with a Mason Pearson brush, directing the hair back and away from the face.
3. Gradually brush and gather the lengths into a ponytail and secure one and a half inches away from the hairline with a hair tie.
4. Divide the lengths of the ponytail into three sections. Securing the ends with a small elastic band.
5. Take the middle section and spray with Redken Wax Blast 10 for a raspy texture. Twist tightly in one direction and coil to create the highest point of the bun. Pin into place.
6. Spray and twist the two remaining lengths then wrap around the base of the ponytail in an opposite direction. This will form the bulk of the top knot. Use the elastics as the point to pin and secure the sections. Secure any loose strands with pins if necessary.
