O’Connor, 45, took to her website to tell her fans about the split, saying she wished to set the record straight on her split before the story was leaked to the press. She goes on to blame pressures placed upon Herridge by ‘certain people in his life’ not to be with her. She goes on, “Within 3 hours of the ceremony being over the marriage was kyboshed by the behaviour of certain people in my husband’s life. And also by a bit of a wild ride I took us on looking for a bit of a smoke of weed for me wedding night as I don’t drink. MY husband was enormously wounded and very badly effected by that experience. It became apparent to me that if he were to stay with me he would be losing too much to bear.” Finally, the singer said of her husband, “He is a wonderful man. I love him very much. I’m sorry I’m not a more regular woman. I truly believe though it is painful to admit, we made a mistake rushing into getting married.” This was O’Connors third marriage, she wed John Reynolds in 1989 and journalist Nicholas Sommerlad in 2011. She has four children.
The famous Olsen twins have been included in a list of fashion’s top 30 names under 30. The designer twin siblings, 25, have proved themselves to be major style icons and now Forbes magazine have named them Fashion’s Most Influential 30 under 30. The honour comes thanks to their multi-million dollar clothing empire which includes labels The Row, Elizabeth + Hames and Olsenboye. The Olsens joined fashion stars such as Alexander Wang, 28, who was credited for having grown his label in to a “full-blown lifestyle brand”. Joseph Altuzarra, also 28, was also included and tipped by Forbes as the ‘next Marc Jacobs.’ In the accessories department, Jewellery queen Pamela Love, 29, and Lady Gaga favourite Zana Bayne, 23, were included. 14-year-old actress Chloe Moretz also made the list and was dubbed as ‘the next Angelina Jolie.’
A newly blond Katy Perry, 27, decided to spend her Christmas away from her home town, opting instead for a vacation in Hawaii with her best friend Markus Molinari and other friends. While a source told PEOPLE the Katy’s husband Russell was with his wife in Hawaii, no pictures have surfaced of him and multiple sources are speculating he wasn’t there at all after Brand was spotted in Cornwell, Englad on December 24. On Christmas day, the pair were still apart with Katy spotted frolicking in the Hawaii surf sans wedding ring and Russell spending time with his British family and friends.. While rumours are still flying that the pair’s marriage is on the rocks, the pair insist everything is fine but these recent reports of a Christmas apart are enough to fuel the rumours that the pair are headed for splitsville in 2012.
