The RAFF Review 9 and 10 shows displayed a look that was inherently different from the rest of the week. It was edgy, trendy and super sleek.
“The foundation for the hair look is based on a clean, seamless blow dry,” Todd Arndt, the Redken Hair Director for the final Review show explained backstage.
There were no parts in sight with the models’ hair being kept down and smoothly brushed back over the head, blending perfectly into the straight lengths at the back. Todd Arndt said “The look is very clean and minimalist, keeping the hair completely off the face at the front with a great gloss finish”.
How to recreate the look:
1. For a lightweight hold and a precise blow dry, apply Redken Satinwear 02 to damp hair.
2. Next, apply Redken Blown Away 09 at the roots in sections for lasting smoothness and frizz control.
3. Blow dry the hair in sections with a large radial brush. Keep the top lengths flat by brushing the hair back and blowing the heat in the same direction.
4. With the lengths, direct the heat all the way to the ends for an ultra smooth and flat finish.
5. Pull the hair behind the ears. Spray generously with Redken Vinyl Glam 02 for a high shine finish and smooth over any fly-aways with your hands.
