Modern Family’s Gloria recently celebrated the birth of a second son, and now, the actress behind Gloria, Sofia Vergara, is rumoured to be seeking a surrogate.
Like her character, Sofia Vergara already has a 21 year old son, Manolo (the namesake of Modern Family’s Manny) and hopes to give him a little brother or sister.
Last year, Sofia Vergara spoke out about wanting a child. ‘My doctor had told me, ‘we have a small window,’’ she said. ‘I don’t want to wait forever.’
Although the actress split from her fiancé of two years Nick Loeb last month, the 41 year old actress has not put her baby plans on hold and reportedly plans to have a second child using a surrogate, having frozen her eggs.
‘Sofia already took fertility injections and had her eggs frozen in preparation. When Manolo was born, she was too young and scared to relax and enjoy being a mum. Now she’s mature and successful enough to really appreciate the experience,’ revealed a source to Closer magazine.
‘Sofia has a very close friend who knew how much she wanted to be a second-time mum, so she’s volunteered to carry the child.’
While these rumours are yet to be confirmed by Sofia Vergara, we would love to see the bubbly comedic actress with a newborn – we’re sure plenty of hilarious motherhood stories would ensue.
