Sonia Kruger has a new way to start her mornings. The former ‘Dancing With the Stars’ host will soon debut her new day-time talk show, ‘Mornings’ on the Nine Network. Kruger is a fresh face to the network and explains why the show has a “casual, easy going feel to it”.
Nine’s new morning daytime talk show “Mornings”, hosted by Sonia Kruger debuts at 9am Monday February 6, 2012.
The show, “Mornings” hosted not only by Sonia, but previous television show partner David Campbell, replaces “Mornings with Kerri-Anne” as the Nine Network’s morning show.
Sonia Kruger defected from Seven to take on the role, and will also be hosting Big Brother on Nine when it airs after The Olympics in August.
“Nine had the opportunities, going forward that I needed. As much as I loved Channel 7 and Dancing with the Stars, after 11 series I just knew I had to move on and I really wanted to try something new and have a bit of fun,” Kruger tells Switched On.
‘Mornings’ promises to be an exciting mix of topical issues, the best celebrity interviews, cooking with Australia’s top chefs, LIVE music performances, the latest in fashion and beauty trends as well as moving real life stories – ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
“It’s very spontaneous and looks to me like there’s not much of an autocue at all. Because of that you get this really cool vibe. It has a casual, easy-going feel to it.”
Meanwhile, the summer series of Kerri-Anne continues to air on Nine (Jan 30 – Feb 3) at 9am weekdays.
