Veteran Aussie brand Sportsgirl is dipping its toes into the perfume arena. Rescu. has an exclusive preview of the soon-to-be-cult scents.
It’s been a blockbuster year for perfume.
And now Aussie fashion powerhouse Sportsgirl are getting into the market, launching their first range of scents in 2012.
Obviously, given that they’re most beloved by teens, the scents, called Sportsgirl Makes Scents, are focussed on the young fashionista market.
With a graffiti-inspired packaging and out-there, hyper-real prints on each of the four bottles, they’re fashion accessories as much as they are perfumes. It’s also a way of making science cool, as each of the bottles are inspired by test tubes.
So what are the four scents like? Rescu. has your preview – and the Sportsgirl perfumiers seem to be covering all bases and tastes.
Bright Young Things is citrus-inspired, flecked with mandarin notes, while The Sweet Truth and Over The Rainbow are floral-inspired, for the more feminine teens who like jasmine, orchids and freesias.
And then there’s Into The Wild, the more mature scent – a muskier one with chocolate and lilies in the notes.
We’re loving the Aussie challenger on the perfume scene – and their scents are the perfect first perfume for girls on the verge of wanting to experiment with smell.
They’re out in August for $9.95 at Sportsgirl stores. Will you be buying Sportsgirl’s range?
