The Venice film festival was held this week, and as with any event which is soaked in celebrities, the attention was on the red carpet fashion (and then the films.)
It was the guys who scrubbed up best this year with actor Ben Affleck stepping out in a sophisticated suit and bow tie. His classic look was topped off nicely with shiny black brogues.
Bringing sophistication and cool to the red carpet was Joaquin Phoenix, who worked aviator sunnies, a skinny tie and a suit together with perfect ease.
Michelle Williams has certainly come a long way since her Dawson Creek days. The actress appeared in a floor length Jason Wu gown, encrusted with shimmer and featuring a soft neck bow tie- her feminine look was sweet and was topped off perfectly with her pixie hair cut.
Natalie Portman brought a taste of the exotic to the red carpet in her stunning red dress by Rodarte. The dress sat off the shoulder, was encrusted in beautiful beading around the waist and floated in soft Grecian inspired draping.
Jessica Alba showed her flirtatious party girl side at the awards, wearing a must-have Valentino cocktail dress in silver equip with beautiful cream silk hemline that created a floral-inspired look.
Clemence Poesy who has risen her star spot since her days in Harry Potter, wore a simple yet ultra feminine look on the red carpet in a cobalt blue waisted skirt and cream satin blouse with a pussy-bow neck tie. Strappy black heels topped off her easy yet super chic look.
