Have some Sun Sense and jump aboard the SunSense UV Photobus, which commences its national tour this October–bringing free UV skin analyses and a team of skincare consultants to communities all over Australia.
Now in its second year, the UV photobus is a mobile skin analysis centre, which helps to uncover hidden UV sun damage in the skin, invisible to the naked eye, in order to raise awareness about the damaging effects of the sun.
The camera uses flashes of UV light to take a picture of what is happening in the lower layers of the epidermis. I.e. while you may think you’re fairly fresh-faced, you wouldn’t believe the nasties lying under that seemingly sun damage free face.
Rescu. Roadtest: We gave it a go ourselves and we were utterly shocked by the amount of sneaky pigmentation the UV camera uncovered! Needless to say, despite already priding ourselves on our sun smarts, we’ve been upping our SPF sunscreen application like mad ever since. Give it a go–it might just save your skin, or even, your life.
The Photobus tour and its team of SunSense skin consultants will travel to 21 metro and regional locations across QLD, NSW, VIC, SA and WA from 9th October until 5th December. Visit www.sunsense.com.au for more information.
