Bright, summery colours were prominent at Blumarine’s Milan show. And Lloyd Simmonds, leading make-up artist for MAC, continued this theme with the make-up, saying, “The look is something any girl would do on vacation – a summery tanned feel, sculpted face with bronzey gold highlights.”
How Lloyd create the Blumarine look using MAC Cosmetics:
The eyes:
- Pro Powder Blush in Taupe was blended along the crease of the eyelids and on the inner and outer corners of the eyes to sculpt.
- Eye Kohl in Smolder was smudged along the top and bottom lash lines.
- Plush Lash Mascara in Plushblack was applied to the top and bottom lashes.
- Pro Lash Charcoal Brown Mascara or Eye Shadow in Coquette was swept through the eyebrows for definition.
The Face:
- Face and Body Foundation was applied as a base.
- Pro Powder Blush in Taupe was applied to contour the cheekbones, temples, forehead and chin, keeping the features angular.
- Cream Colour Base in Antiqued Gold and Pro Cream Colour Base in Midtone Sepia was blended on to the cheeks to create a hollowed out effect.
- Cream Colour Base in Shell and Pearl was placed on the tops of the cheekbones, bridge of the nose and chin to highlight.
The Lips:
To finish, Tan Pro Gloss was brushed on to the lips.
