Whether you’re a foodie, a wine connoisseur or simply someone who loves a festive night out, you’ll be thrilled to know that Taste of Sydney, the city’s premier food festival, is returning to town this March. Running for four days, from the 14th to the 17th, the festival will take place amongst the picturesque greenery of centennial park and promises to be the crѐme de la crѐme of culinary experiences.
Taste of Sydney features over 60 unique menu items and produce from award-winning wineries, artisan producers and boutique stall holders. The festival has a unique pick and mix approach – over 20 of Sydney’s best restaurants will design unique menus of starter-size signature dishes so that visitors can design their own degustation experience. Perfect for the foodie who wants to indulge in nothing but their favourite flavours.
But it’s not just about eating, the schedule is jam-packed full of events to transform you from microwave master to all out chef extraordinaire. Tasting masterclasses, cooking schools and chef demonstrations will all be taking place throughout the festival.
If you’ve always wanted to slice and dice like your favourite celebrity chef, hone your knife skills with demonstrations at the Dilmah Chef’s Skillery. If your interests lie less in cooking and more in hosting the perfect party you might prefer ‘The Art of Cocktail Making’ masterclass presented by Sensology. Other attractions include the Rekorderlig Cider Bar and the Bertolli Taste Kitchen.
Restaurants which have already confirmed their attendance include festival favourites such as Manu Feildel’s L’etoile, Shaun Presland’s Sake and new-comers Popolo and The Woods. A variety of festival passes are available from general admission to an extravagant VIP option, allowing visitors to mingle with chefs and critics in the VIP lounge.
