Aussie TV’s night of nights: The 52nd Annual TV Week Logie Awards will be held on Sunday May 2nd this year- pitting the crème de la crème of Australian television talent against each other to take home ‘Logie’ gold.
This years nominees to win the Gold Logie for most popular personality on TV include a mix of old favourites, and first-time players including Packed To The Rafters star Rebecca Gibney, one of the eight contenders up for gold alongside The Gruen Transfer host, Wil Anderson who is nominated for his first Gold Logie.
And stone the crows! After 22 long years on Home and Away playing Alf Stewart, Ray Meagher has finally earned his first nomination for the Gold Logie.
Also nominated in the Gold Logie category is Meagher’s Home and Away co-star Esther Anderson, comedians Rove McManus and Adam Hills, Good News Week host Paul McDermott and Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation host Shaun Micallef.
The Logie Awards will be hosted by TV legend Bert Newton at Melbourne’s Crown Entertainment Complex, and televised on the Nine Network on Sunday May 2nd.
Grammy Award winner (and notorious ladies man) John Mayer is slated to perform on the night, alongside Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle, and Aussie songstress Gabriella Cilmi.
