What’s a model reality show without a good hit of drama? Naomi Campbell’s The Face TV show premiered last night on Foxtel, complete with a take down between Campbell herself, and Nicole Trunfio.
Naomi Campbell has already launched American and British versions of The Face, and this year Foxtel recreates the show in Australia with Campbell as mentor and judge. Campbell is known for her short fuse (she was accused 10 times of committing violent acts against employees, associates and more between 1998 and 2008), and she lived up to her reputation in the premiere.
Naomi Campbell and Nicole Trunfio came into conflict over 18 year old aspiring model, Sarah. The two models each wanted Sarah as part of their teams, and after Nicole suggested that she might have more time to spend with contestants than Naomi, Naomi hurled an expletive at Nicole and stormed off set.
Despite the fiery premiere, Campbell has had positive things about working on The Face tv show in Australia, saying, ‘Australia has beautiful girls and they have always been big in the industry. It’s not my first time here, I think Aussies are fun, hardworking people.’
