It’s time to put on your favourite tee and head down to Sydney’s CBD this Thursday, September 20 to experience the humble t-shirt like you never have before.
In an exciting collaboration, the Galeries, aMBUSH Gallery and Eddie Zammit (founder of T-world Journal) have joined forces to create an event that will display some truly one of a kind t-shirt designs from six of the world’s most renowned T-shirt artists including Sydney-based Natalie Wood (Something Else) and Grand Scheme founder, Jimmy Bligs.
What’s on offer:
Original one-off designs will be screen-printed live at The Galeries by Natalie Wood and legendary Los Angeles outfit, HIT+RUN. (You could even score one of the custom-made T’s for free on the night if you’re lucky!)
A month-long ‘I love T’s’ exhibition at Lane4.
Co-organiser of the event Zammit, alone owns over 4,000 T-shirts, and has generously donated over 200 T-shirts from his collection to build a large globe installation made entirely of tees! The feature piece will hang from the ceiling of The Galeries throughout the month.
Other designers involved in the event include Auckland’s Nick Joblin from collective edition, Melbourne’s Brendan Elliott from BURN and London’s Andy Wardle from AnyForty.
Where: 500 George St,
Sydney CBD, NSW
When:
