It’s every MasterChef fan’s dream come true – over 25 national and international culinary stars coming together to attend the Margaret River Gourmet Escape festival, the Gourmet Village.

Held at the iconic Leeuwin Estate over one weekend only – Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th November 2012, the Gourmet Village will be treated to the amazing talents of Heston Blumenthal, David Chang, Peter Gilmore, Matt Moran and Neil Perry – just to name a few!
If you are a food and wine lover, the Gourmet Village is for you as you’ll have the chance to see, meet and learn from internationally acclaimed chefs as well as taste produce and wines from this beautiful region.
The Gourmet Village program is now live, jam-packed with discussions, demonstrations, Q&A’s, masterclasses plus over 100 Western Australian premium exhibitors, local vineyards and gourmet producers – visitors will be spoilt for choice with an array of culinary delights and wine offerings.
If you’re thinking of heading to the event, some key highlights to keep in mind are:
* Heston Blumenthal LIVE on the main stage – Saturday 24th November AND Sunday 25th November. The main stage will see an incredible line up of chefs cooking up a storm, sharing the secrets of their favourite dishes and offering tips and advice – sure to inspire with their culinary innovation and excellence.
* Rene Redzepi at the Chef’s Table – Sunday 25th November. Have your culinary questions answered by joining one of the Gourmet Escape chefs for a chat over a glass of wine in an intimate and informal setting.
* MasterChef Live Junior – kids can get their hands dirty and learn simple recipes to take home. They may even have a visit from one of their favourite chefs including George Calombaris.
* Wine and cheese pairing at the Gourmet Traveller WINE Theatre – these educational and interactive wine sessions will allow visitors to learn about Western Australian varietals, the secrets to matching food and wine, cellaring tips, tutored tastings and much more.
* From Paddock to Plate – Showcasing the amazing produce of Western Australia, the Paddock to Plate stage will feature the regions leading chefs preparing and cooking with fresh local produce.
