The $60,000 L’Oréal Australia For Women in Science Fellowships were awarded to three talented Australian scientists this month.
Georgina Such from the University of Melbourne, Eve McDonald-Madden from the University of Queensland/CSIRO and Tracy Ainsworth from James Cook University were rewarded for their outstanding research into biodiversity developing more efficient and effective therapies for disease.
The L’Oréal For Women In Science Fellowship awards each winner $20,000 so that they may continue their valuable contribution and findings within their field.
The L’Oréal For Women In Science Fellowship is a corporate global philanthropic initiative and identifies outstanding women in science each year. It is globally recognised award run by L’Oréal in partnership with UNSECO and celebrates its 5th anniversary in Australia this year.
