To match the Autumnal colours at Ferragamo’s Milan show, Val Garland, leading MAC make-up artist, worked with “the structure of the face in velvety caramel colours”. She was greatly inspired by the past, saying, “Think ‘the girl with the pearl earring’ in a modern day environment”.
Here’s how she achieved this look using MAC Cosmetics:
The eyes:
- Cream Colour Base in Fawntastic and Luna were blended on to the lids and brow bone.
- Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Duck was buffed into the crease of the eye lids.
- Eye Shadow in Coquette was blended along the lower lash lines.
- Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation in C8 was blended under the lower lash lines to create a slight shadow.
The skin:
- Face and Body Foundation was applied to perfect the skin.
- Cream Colour Base in M·A·C Pro Mid-Tone Sepia was applied using a fan brush under the cheekbones to contour.
- Cream Colour Base in Shell and Luna was applied to the cheekbones and the bridge of the nose to highlight.
- Blot Powder/Loose was dusted over the face to reduce shine.
The Lips: Clear Lipglass was patted on to the lips.
