Last night Star City Casino was officially re-launched as The Star after some huge renovations. Olivia Newton-John, Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio were all there for the unveiling.

The Star is Born
After a truly incredible $870 million refurbishment, Sydney’s Star City Casino has been re-launched as The Star.
Olivia Newton-John was flown in from the US for the unveiling last night, after Lionel Richie pulled out of his unveiling duties at the 
last minute. Newton-Jone raved about the new premises, saying, “I’ve performed in [casinos] all over the world for a very long time so I definitely know the good from the bad. I feel like I’m in Vegas in the good way. I don’t like to gamble but I’m willing to put a bet on this place.”
Russell Crown joined Newton-John for the official unveiling, agreeing the refurb was a very good thing for Sydney. Other celebs such as Ronan Keating, Angry Anderson, Kerri-Anne Kennerley and Rick-Lee Coulter were in attendance but the biggest surprise guest of the night was Leonardo DiCaprio.
Adorned in his Sydney uniform of jeans, a t-shirt, a black leather jacket and a baseball cap, Leo chatted with Crowe’s wife Danielle Spencer, Molly Meldrum and more but kept a low profile, choosing water of the Dom Perignon that was flowing all night.
Casino owner Larry Mullen has been amid this redesign for two and a half years and is clearly thrilled to launch the fruits of his labour.
January Jones New Baby
Mad Men star January Jones has just announced she gave birth to a baby boy earlier this week!
The stunning blonde welcomed Xander Dane Jones into the world on Tuesday in LA and her rep has confirmed both mum and bub are healthy and happy and, “doing great”.
Jones, 33, kept the sex of her child a surprise for herself during the pregnancy and is yet to reveal the identity of the baby’s father. Her hit series Mad Men is up for a bunch of awards at Monday night’s Emmys but we really doubt Jones will be ready to take on the red carpet just yet!
Congratulations to the first-time mum.
Kendall Jenner on the Runway
Yesterday we told you all about Kylie Jenner’s debut runway appearance for Avril Lavigne’s runway show. Today the attention is on the older Jenner girl, Kendall, who took to the New York Fashion Week runway for Sherri Hill.
Kendall and Kim had a bit of a falling out over the younger girl’s hesitance to do runway in an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashian’s recently but it seems Kendall gave in to the pull. Proud sister Kim tweeted afterwards, “Wow my little sis @kendalljenner faced her fears & killed it tonight on the runway!”
And there’s no stopping her now, Kendall told PEOPLE, “It felt amazing. I’m definitely going to be doing it again” and designer Hill said, “She’s a fashion designer’s dream. Almost everything works for her.”
