Usher took home the coveted Male Celebrity Fragrance of the Year at this year’s FIFI awards (kind of like the Oscars of the fragrance world) for his best-selling, self-titled scent.
When asked if he wears his own scent, the self-assured singer answered “I do somewhat get high on my own supply. If I don’t wear it no one else will.” When asked about his favourite scent on a woman he said: “Her natural essence if you know what I mean.”
Halle Berry picked up the Fragrance of the Year, Women’s Popular Appeal award for her fragrance: Halle by Halle Berry, and Mr Michael Kors was inducted into the prestigious FIFI Hall of Fame for his successful foray into the fragrance realm.
Tom Ford took home the trophy for Fragrance of the Year: Men’s Luxe for his super sexy scent, Grey Vetiver, and Marc Jacobs won the Fragrance of the Year: Women’s Luxe award for the oh-so-lovely Lola by Marc Jacobs.
Chanel’s infamous No.5 Train de Nuit commercial, which features the beautiful Audrey Tautou, won the Best Women’s Media Campaign (and rightly so!).
Kim Kardashian was a presenter on the night, and the bootylicious reality television star admitted she smothered herself in her own celebrity scent before hitting the red carpet: “I sprayed it all over me before I came,” she said.
