Plans for Oprah’s visit to Australia are slowly being released while fans become more and more excited. Meanwhile, over in Hollywood, Britney Spears is celebrating her birthday while attempting to shoot down nasty rumours about an ex and Taylor Swift’s love life is making headlines.
When Oprah’s In Town…
Most recently, it has been revealed that The Sydney Harbour Bridge will be adorned with a giant ‘O’ when Oprah Winfrey is in Sydney! The super-host will be turning the Opera House into the Oprah House on December 14 when she will record two shows for an excited bunch of American and Australian fans.
Ms Winfrey will have the type of security usually reserved for government officials surrounding her for her stay and several major roads in Sydney will be closed for the event.
We can’t wait to see what else Oprah, the queen of surprise, has up her sleeve for Australia!
Happy Birthday Britney!
Britney Spears turned 29 this week. It’s hard to believe such an influential icon of pop-culture is so young, and over the past ten years she has experienced more than many people ever will. Her life in the limelight has brought many wonderful things but unfortunately this past week Miss Spears was in the midst of some of the more negative aspects of celebrity.
An audio tape of an alleged discussion between Britney and ex-husband Jason Alexander was leaked. In the discussion it is revealed that the pop princess’ boyfriend and former agent Jason Trawick beat her.
Since the leak, Britney and her current manager have both shoot down the reports and Spears herself posted a statement on her official website stating, “This is just another example of the irresponsible nature of the tabloid media relying on shoddy sources and false information for the sole purpose of selling magazines, without regard to the truth and without regard to who they hurt in the process.”
Thankfully, aside from this rumour, Britney’s life seems to finally be calming down and we all have faith her 30th Birthday will come with little drama!
Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal Romance Blossoms
We reported over a month ago that Taylor and Jake had spent a weekend in New York together and since then, things have only become more serious since then! The pair allegedly spent Thanksgiving together in Brooklyn, heading into a local coffee shop for maple lattes. Later, Taylor met Jakes family and then the new couple made a visit to her hometown in Nashville.
If family visits and important holidays spent together don’t spell couple, we don’t know what does!
