This treatment has been known to get me through the happiest and worst days of my life. Its instantl anti-ageing and beautifying benefits cannot be overstated. Being a La Prairie destination spa, all the team are expertly trained in the Swiss Luxury Brand’s techniques and offer the most comprehensive menu of La Prairie signature services.

At Darling Spa I also recently experienced an Authentic Hamman Ritual by spa brand Mira’s Hand. OMG! This was a mind blowing and utterly decadent body treatment that I would highly recommend to anyone.
Imagine a one-hour body treatment combining heat, deep exfoliation, clay mask and heavenly Argan oil massage all in the privacy of your very own Marble Hamman. At the end of the treatment your therapist brings you fresh fruit and cool water. I felt like Cleopatra. Amazing.

Maya Bilalis is a skin Svengali. Her chic and cosmeceutically minded day spa in Moncur Street Woollahra is a sought after haven for brides, busy executives and the Eastern Suburbs ‘It’ crowd. The focus is on customized anti-ageing treatments using the latest skincare innovations and skin care innovations including Omnilux light therapy, AHA Peels, body wraps and Aromaessence massage. I went for a detoxifying body treatment to treat my back and arms ahead of the big reveal for summer. This is a great investment ahead of strapless dresses and swimsuit season. Maya’s no nonsense approach is matched with her extensive knowledge and ability to custom select products and treatments to get you results.

spaQ at QT hotel CBD
This buzzing inner city location is a foil for the thoughtful and pretty darn fresh renovation of the historic Gwoing Building and State Theatre precinct.
The spa is eclectic and cool, catering to the busy corporate types and visitors of the hotel, who typically are not the usual suspects. I am absolutely mad for this cool fitout and the treatment rooms are huge, inviting and quirky. I really forget that I am in Sydney when I check in to the spa and am transported through time and space to what feels like a very cool Manhattan vibe.
True to its Indie vibe, treatments need not be pre-selected at the time of booking and when you arrive, you are able to work with your therapist to choose what feels right on the day. With six treatment rooms, a men’s barber offering men’s close shaves, steam and ice facilities to complement the very extensive menu, you will be spoilt for choice and experiences to discover at this urban paradise.
I tried The Mastery Massage (60 or 90 mins / $155 or $225)
In their pursuit of encouraging expression and inviduality, each therapist is able to bring their unique skills and experience into the treatment room. My therapist Lilly was trained in crystal healing and energy work so went to town on my rattled nerves and body with a combination massage treatment that I swear realigned not just by posture for the week ahead!
Their selection of products to buy is as unique and fun as the experience and I really loved the great brands available to purchase.
