Rescu. loves the Resort collections – and our eye was caught this year by Roberto Cavalli’s accessories.
Cavalli’s Resort collection contains necklaces which resemble flamingo wings and beaks folded around the neck. It’s very Egyptian, and Rescu. loves it.
So how can you get hold of a statement necklace of the same type without shelling out Cavalli-level money? Worry not – Rescu. has found them.
The key elements are an enamel finish and a collar arrangement – so it’s heavy and rests just on your collarbone, below any collar on a shirt. It’s a divine look for summer (we’re also loving Cavalli’s tea-set prints). Here are a few options.
Not into the cooler pastels of the season? Charm & Chain, over at charmandchain.com, have the Paulina Enamel Necklace, which is resplendent with golds, greens, reds and purples – perfect for an animal-inspired accessory (the clasps are two leopard’s heads). It’s oversize, spectacular and not a piece to forget.
If you fancy a bit of bling, Guiseppe Zanotti is selling a collar necklace at his online store under Jewelry which has a little touch of sparkle – it’s an enamel collar in brass with a black leather lining and some rhinestone detail.
Not an enamel person? ASOS is currently selling a statement sequin collar by Fiona Paxton in gold – it’s designed to move with you, so don’t wear it unless you’d love some shimmer in your look.
If you’d rather keep it to a minimum, Kenneth Jay Lane produces animal-clasp bangles in rich painted enamels- giraffes, elephants, zebras, you name it. You can find them at Net-a-Porter in their Kenneth Jay Lane boutique.
Good luck shopping!
