London Fashion Week has kicked off with a bang with Australian label Sass & Bide setting the mark high, Burberry’s eye-catching metallic coats and of course a memorable appearance from Lady Gaga.
Plus Prada has even released a limited edition Fashion Week bag!
Rescu. brings you all the stylish details…
Sass & Bide have done it again!
It seems designers Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton have achieved domination already at London Fashion Week.
The pair debuted their latest SS12/13 collection which was classic to Sass & Bide ideology – unique and inspiring yet still fabulously wearable.
What’s the best thing about the collection? Rescu. loves the all-white looks!
Sass & Bide have certainly proved white on white as the ultimate trend this season.
Meanwhile, Burberry takes the opposite approach brightening up the runway with an out-there stream of hot coloured metallic coats for their SS12/13 collection.
But just when you thought London Fashion Week couldn’t get any bolder than Burberry, think again!
Lady Gaga opened the runway at Irish milliner Philip Treacy’s return to London Fashion Week show.
In spectacular Gaga form, the songstress wore a hot-pink floor length veil and sky-high boots as she announced: “Ladies and gentlemen, the greatest milliner in the world. Philip Treacy.”
The show also paid tribute to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, as the models and Gaga wore pieces exclusively released from his wardrobe.
Not only did Gaga open the runway, she also sat front row donning a unique floral helmet designed by Treacy.
Tracey, the renowned hat maker, who has previously designed styles for The Queen of England, has been absent from London Fashion Week over the last eight years.
His comeback collection featured 36 theatrical and indeed Gaga out-there designs, which sure enough had everyone talking.
Post-show, Gaga tweeted, “Totally surreal wearing Michael Jackson’s clothes last night. Philip Treacy’s show was groundbreaking. #MICKEYJACKSON.”
But wait! There’s more.
In celebration of the international fashion weeks, Prada has launched its latest limited edition bag.
The exclusive bag dons the geometric patterns that dominates Prada’s autumn/winter’12/’13 collection.
Because it is released in honour of New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks, the framed doctor’s bag is only available in those cities.
